Productive Scholar

I bumped into a Blog called Productive Scholar while looking at options on Mac to backup online.  I think the site could give some great ideas to many folks, not just the scholarly.

As for the online backup, I think I will try Mozy on the wee Mac.  The “product” is from Decho, short for “Digital Echo”, an EMC “cloud” subsidiary that has merged in technology from Pi and Mozy.

What intrigues me is that the former Pi research offices are in Montreal, QC and that Decho is still looking to fill positions there.  So if you are into Unix and backup technology …

MacBundleBox

For 49$ you can gather a large collection of useful tools for the Mac.  MacBundleBox contains many intresting bits, though I can’t find enough useful items at first glance.  I will certainly do another sweep later though.

Oooh Mini!

All that and charming too!

All that and charming too!

I got an Mac Mini for my dad.  It arrived in a ludicrously small box.  It unpacked to something so small, you’d think it was a CD-ROM…

I like it, a lot.  This is the kind of computer people can turn on, leave on and just use.  A tad expensive I guess, but given the low power consumption, it will cover it’s price soon enough.

And it can run WoWcrack in a pinch.
